Rich is the chief marketing officer of Macy’s, Inc., leading Macy’s omnichannel market presence and brand strategy, with the added bonus of being the head balloon flyer in charge of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Rich has spent his career building brands, creating innovative and more productive marketing models, and developing award-winning campaigns. In addition to leading marketing for Toys “R” Us and Zales, Rich is a veteran of JWT, where he led teams in Tokyo and London, before heading US marketing for De Beers, where his team developed three of the most successful product launches in the history of the US jewelry industry, and evolved the “A Diamond is Forever” campaign, voted by Advertising Age as the 4th most influential advertising campaign in the last 100 years.
